Motto: Third time’s no harm

 

 > I’ve started this update two times before, only to be distracted and never finish it. And thanks to my arm being broken right after I vocalized the old cliché and vowing never to say it again, I’ve been forced to use my replacement- Third Time’s No Harm.

 

 > After 4 years of faithful service, the Man Car is officially retired. My mom got a new car, a 2008(7?) Nissan Altima 2.5S to be specific, so I got the choice to keep Brutus or to let him go in exchange for my mom’s 2003 Grand Prix. After less than 3 minutes of considering the decision the Man Car’s many flaws forced me to relegate it to “my Old car.” My new cars features that improve over the Man Cars can be seen in the top five. One last note- Man Car’s official name “Brutus” has not been carried forward to the new car, instead, the new name is in honor of my favorite mythological warrior from the Iliad – Ajax.

 > KU beat KSU, and then dominated the piss out of Texas Tech. Texas Tech had just come off a WIN over Texas, our Big 12 competitors. So we officially are back on my good side.

 

 > Just as a testament to how absolutely gigantic KU is, I’m sitting here now in the library taking my surroundings, and I see a wall of books. I mean, that’s obvious, I’m in a library. There’s wall’s of books in every library. But KU has so many walls of books that each topic is so well covered, that it itself might as well have it’s own wall. To my left I see a wall that ONLY has books in it relating to electrical research history and the history of electricity, to my right, there’s a whole wall of books that deal with “The Physics of Plasmas” and some of plasmas’ properties.  

 

 > After coming out of my previous depression about two weeks ago I briefly had another spell with it yesterday. I spaced out during my perfectly memorized monologue in Acting I and things never went well for me after that. I think that was a temporary thing. Today has been good.

 > I’m drinking Powerade from a cup with a lid on it. The straw was built for a 20 oz cup, and the cup I’m using is 32 ounces. They should make available longer straws for those of us who feel thirsty and don’t like the idea of making love to the lid of our drinks just to use the straw to enjoy the last bits of our Powerade.

 

Top 5: Improvements my new car has over my old one 

5. It is bigger, and therefore doesn’t have to have as much manliness packed into every square inch of it as the Man Car did. 

4. It has 4 doors, so putting my shit in the back isn’t such the pain that it used to be. 3. It’s got a bigger trunk, that combined with the newly downsized (correctionalized) Oh-Shit Kit gives me much more space to deal with. If my car were a computer, I defragged the hard drive and added more RAM. 

2. It’s got two power jacks to the Man Car’s one, now I can charge my phone AND listen to music through my radio transmitter 

1. It’s got cup holders to accommodate up to four people- this means I don’t have to feel bad anymore about hogging the only cup holder while Christine has to carry hers.
